Our First Camping Trip
On a warm summer night a bunch of us decided it'd be more fun to go camping than spend the night at someone's house. So me, Jake T., Brett, Jordan, Quinlan, and Nick headed back to the trails in front of my house where we liked to ride bikes and quads. We took lots of chips, smore's material, flashlights, and our sleeping bags. When we ran out of sticks to burn around our clear campsite, I had to venture into the dark, scary woods to find some bigger pieces to burn. I ended up finding an old worn out ax stuck into a big tree that someone had left long ago. When I brought the ax back to camp, it's use became the night's activity. For hours we took turns chopping away at a total of thirteen 15 to 30 foot high trees with our dull ax. We built a huge fire and didn't let it die down all night and well into the next morning. And I still got in trouble for wasting wood because even after we burned at such a rapid pace there were still half a dozen whole trees lying on the grond in a pile near the fire. It was definately one of the best all nighters I'd ever had.

Fourwheeler Ride Gone Bad
It started just like any other day out at Austin's, riding fourwheelers with him and Nick. One bike got stuck so I had to ride on back of Austin while we went back up to the house. Ha! Bad idea! We were riding up the blacktop when Aus had to show off how well he'd learned to ride a wheelie. I told him it was a bad idea with my extra weight on back, but after getting Nick's attention, he popped it up anyway. We both flew off the back. The driver's fall was broke by me, but I wasn't as lucky. My bare back skidded along the the asphalt with another 140 pounds riding on top! My back was covered by scrapes and blood. The worst part was that I couldn't go home and ask mom to do something about the pain because I feared getting in trouble for being wreckless. So I kept it a secret from my parents by having a shirt on at all times the rest of the summer. If I learned anything, it was that your never safe riding with Austin.

Bridge Discovery
The day we played Archie, school was canceled so Bruto scheduled a short morning practice. It was only ten o'clock and we were bored out of our minds so me, Nick, and Skyler decided to go down the tracks. We headed north, stopping a couple times for food and to relieve ourselves, but kept moving for miles and miles keeping up the hope that we would find somewhere awesome to hang out. After three and a half miles of walking we finally came to a huge red bridge. In our eyes it was a heavenly discovery. We played at the bridge for hours, climbing on it, throwing logs, and exploring the woods around it. When we eventually returned to town, we were absolutely exhausted for the game, but the trip still payed off because that bridge became our new hang out when we had all day and nothing to do.

Taking On the Traffic
After a victory for our baseball team, the Flames, Keenan, Skyler, and I went to spend the night at my house. It ended up turning into one of the most exciting nights we'd experienced in all of our 10 years. We were playing basketball out back in the dark when we decided it would be a good idea to play chicken with the traffic on main street. We'd lay down in the street until a car got close then dash off into the ditch. In our minds we were escaping death in just the knick of time, when really we were hardly in danger at all. It was great fun until Kee and Sky ran into each other, knocking Keenan down and breaking his finger. Udoubtedly one of the biggest thrills of my young life.
