This is my land that I hunted on during my first years of hunting. There is a short eight foot stand that has been there for over six years. From this very spot, I have killed a doe, two four point bucks, and a ten point buck. Included in those were my first deer and my first buck. All of which were with my first gun, a youth model bolt action .243 winchester with a 3 to 9 power tasco scope.
This is the place on my grandparents' land that I shot a really nice 8 point buck. Sadly the buck showed up before I even had my bow off the ground. I had to shoot him without using my release, so I hit him in the shoulder and he got away.
