THIMPU

Es la capital de Bhutan desde 1960 y ciudad situada en el Río Chu. Thimbu se situa a más de 2.500 metros de altura y tiene una población de unos 74.000 habitantes. Es la única capital en el mundo sin semáforos. El monasterio budista Tashichoedzong es la sede del gobierno desde el año 1952. Otros monasterios en los alrededores de Thimbu son: Dechenphu, Cheri y Tango.
