Atractivo turistico Samarra Iraq

Es una antigua ciudad de Iraq sobre el margen del río Tigris, en la provincia de Salah ad Din, llamada así en honor a Saladino. Se encuentra en la orilla oriental del Tigris, a unos 125 km. al norte de Bagdad con una población en 2002 de 201.700 habitantes. El nombre “Samarra” proviene de la frase árabe “Sarre men ra’a”, que se traduce como “una alegría para todos los que ven”
