Augusto Roa Bastos

Augusto Roa Bastos, en 1945, se trasladó a Inglaterra y de allí a Francia. Luego regresó a Asunción y despúes se estableció en Buenos Aires. En 1948 ganó el Premio de British Council. En 1976 se trasladó a Francia como profesor de Literatura y Guaraní.En 1988 ganó el Premio de las Letras Memorial de América Latina y en 1989 regresó a Paraguay y recibió el Premio Cervantes.En 1991 ganó el Premio Nacional de Literatura Paraguaya y en 1995 obtuvo el Premio Nacional de Literatura.En 2003, recibió la condecoración José Martí del Gobierno Cubano.El 26 de abril falleció.
