Anse de St. Jean, beach

The other end of the beach is somewhat quieter, but with a restaurant and hotel nearby, plus easy access to shopping in St. Jean.

A nice, long beach that is very popular, crowded, and with restaurants, water sports, and hotels. Great views of the airport at this end.

Public Beach

This is a commercial port used by tankers and freighters. There is a beach, but we would not swim here because of the commercial use.

A small, swimmable beach with no facilities. Not much used.

Lorient Beach

An excellent family beach frequented by locals. No trendy restaurants, nothing to do but sun and swim

Grand Fond

This is a valley with a great view across the Caribbean. Not swimmable. It is the beginning of a path to an overview of Grande Saline.

A nice long beach which is clothing optional at the end farther from the entry.

A nice beach with snorkelling, but it takes a hike or boat to reach. We see occasional nude people lately.
