I have to recommend hotel Colombo. The interior design is phantastic and crazy. via garibaldi was impressive, but the most of the city was impressively filthy.
in this exklusive village the cheapest room was 150 euros per night so i was quite lucky to meet a hospitable guy called jean-luc who invited me to his house.
the evening florian and I tried to cross the pyrenees we came into darkness and a thunderstorm. we've been lucky to find a shelter in an abandoned ski-resort.
after crossing the italian border the cyclists I meet become more professional and less cooperative ;) I take the chance for a last swim in the sea and two pizzas for dinner.
planless strolling around we stumbled across this beach bar in the middle of the city. sipping our drinks and watching the water flowing by the world was in apple-pie order
traveled along the 'canal du midi' and arrived in beziers for the "fete de la musique": dozens of intoxicating performances in a mysterious arabic city.
i had a wonderful time time with michele's relatives deborah and david, who showed me arround and made me sandwiches even at 2 in the morning ;) thank you folks!
i love this city: lots of young people drinking on the beach, asian takeaway-food, ice-cream and a fabulous drunk party organized by the comunist party ;)
