I have taught 11th and 12th grade English on M Street in Aurora, NE for 15 years. My students have created oral history web pages, "sense of place" digital stories, exchanged emails way back in 1997 with students in Hawaii and Tennessee, have used Tapped In and other online discussion boards to discuss literature and share their writing. This past year students created digital stories about Hamilton County farmers which are uploaded on our school's kennel site
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is the home of the Nebraska Writing Project. I facilitated the summer institute this summer at the infamous Andrews Hall. This is also where I have spent the last eight years as a graduate student (MA in 2002 and Ph.D. at present, hopefully becoming ABD by this fall!) I think my vehicle knows every exit along I-80 by heart!
