Comparsa: flagwavers
The "comparsa" of the Chiocciola comes back after the hommage tributed to its participants who live outside of the city walls. This happens between May and June, before of the Patron Saints\' holiday, 29th of June.

This is the baptism fountain of the "Contrada del Drago" in Siena. The baptism, a relatively recent institution (1947, first in the Chiocciola) is not a Catholic one, but a civil "blessing" that confirms a newborn in the community for the rest of his life
