Grant (historic gold mining town site)
During its heydays in the late 1800s, Grant had a population of 2000, 15 hotels, four banks, newspaper office, courthouse, police station and numerous stores. However, the boom was short-lived and the majority of businesses had closed by 1867, with the last residents leaving in 1916. Walks include a heritage trail, a stroll to the Jolly Sailor Mine and a visit to the cemetery and the water-filled tunnel of the Jeweller Shop Mine
