Fieldwork on thaw lakes in the Arctic

John Lenters and Brittany Potter, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, are conducting fieldwork on Emaiksoun Lake near Barrow, Alaska. Their work is part of a project called the "Circum-Arctic Lakes Observation Network (CALON)." This summer, a data buoy was put on the lake to monitor the climate of the lake.
