Chez Bricktop's

THEN: The Jazz musician Ada Beatrice Queen Victoria Louis Smith, better known as “Bricktop” because of her freckles and her bright red hair, owned this famous jazz club (1926-1936). Chez Bricktop’s was one of several clubs that Ada Smith opened throughout Europe. In 1931 Chez Bricktop’s relocated to a larger and more elegant space on 66 Rue Pigalle.<br />NOW: The current building houses a possible brothel called Le Jet d’Eau.
