Cabo Polonio
Cabo Polonio es un pequeño poblado costero en el departamento de Rocha, Uruguay.
El cabo funciona como una perfecta comunidad ecológica donde no existen vehículos motorizados, electricidad ni alcantarillado. Cada habitante se auto suministra de energía de forma sustentable ya sea por paneles solares o energía eólica. En el se pueden avistar ballenas y delfines en ciertas épocas del año, también posee una reserva de lobos marinos y un faro que es la única luz que ilumina el pueblo cada 12 segundos.
En el cabo no hay calles, el acceso se realiza caminando o a través de camiones todo terreno que atraviesan una zona pantanosa de 7 Km. que antecede a este auténtico paraíso.
