Address search

Address search works in several countries.

US (United States), CA (Canada), UK (United Kingdom, try with postcodes), BR (Brazil), ES (Spain), FR (France), PT (Portugal), DE (Germany), IT (Italy), NL (Netherlands), BE (Belgium), LU (Luxembourg), SE (Sweden), DK (Denmark), NO (Norway), FI (Finland), RU (Russia, 24 cities), CZ (Czech Republic), PL (Poland), HU (Hungary), AU (Australia), NZ (New Zealand), JP (Japan), SG (Singapore), IN (India, several big cities).

Addresses are better found when the address is written in the local language, and following the naming or postal conventions of each country. Writing the country 2-letter code (see above) after the address also helps, as in H-1112 Budapest, Budaörsi út 45 HU.

For Brussels in Belgium, you can enter streetnames both in French and Dutch.

In Russia, only a set of 24 cities is available. Moscow and Sankt Petersburg are among them, of course. Addresses need to be introduced in the cyrillic script.

The geocoding feature for Japan only works with addresses written in Kanji, although placenames in general can be found using the Rōmaji form, that is, the latin transliteration of Japanese. Know the details here.

Try to post some address here. Address search also works when posting routes, when you search for the initial point of a given route.
