Time Magazine and Newsweek show detailed satellite images of the spots in which the Haditha incident happened in November 2005. After a marine was killed by a road bomb, several civilian iraqis were killed in circumstaces that are being investigated.
Time has mapped the exact spots of the bomb blast and the killings afterwards, giving credit to Google Earth and its providers of imagery. We looked at Google Maps as well, and found the places. Central Haditha is in a blurred area, but the southern neighboorhood where this occurred is in great resolution.
Another recent news scenario in Iraq has been detected as well by a user of Tagzania. This, it seems, it's the hideout where Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in an airstrike last week.
Finnally this spot shows real action happening. Abrams tanks and other US military vehicles are visible in Sadr City, a shiite neighbourhood of Bagdad. According to this blog, this seems to be an actual armed incident that happened in April 2004, just when the satellite was passing by...
