An important and needed feature at Tagzania: search. Try the dialog box in the top of every page. You will see that search results have clear URLs like www.tagzania.com/search/carnival. You can use that model to provide direct and easy links to Tagzania searches, constructing URLs.
The search function in Tagzania gives results from the items tagged at our database. Registered users see their own results first, and then those from all locations tagged.
Moreover, a database of world placenames is searched as well. Those results are served by a web service set up by Geonames and offered with Creative Commons Attribution license. Data from Geonames are offered, right now, in a quite crude way, information codes like GT, PPL, P from that database are not translated so far. We will organise that information better with time. For now, let's indicate that the first 2-letter key is for the country, and you can consult the rest at Geonames itself.
Tagzania users can bring their knowledge back to Geonames, as well,
because the data there are editable. Once you click on a Geonames-based
result here, you can add that place to your account, or click on the
correct data option so you can refine the place's location, and
add or correct additional names for that place. Once you correct something
in Geonames, it appears OK in subsequent searches, and other users of that
webservice will benefit from that improved information. Geonames maintains a page displaying the last edited entries.
