This places the site approximately 42 km northwest of Kilchu, in the province of North Hamgyong, on the remote slopes of Mant'ap-san Mountain. The area coincides with reports that first appeared during 2005 of suspicious tunnelling and construction activities in this mountain.
As a matter of fact, the imagery in the area bears the watermark of 2006: this part of the Google Map coverage is quite new. So, someone had interest in taking recent pictures of that area. We may wait now to see when the next update happens in the area and we can see any difference with the current imagery. Close zooms don't show apparently anything but some rocky landscapes there.
