An example of the new interface here, in northern Italy. Those are the locations of the Sorbolo Enigma, the Roman ruins that a cyber-archeologist discovered through satellite maps. Compare the interace diferences, before and now:
Now, the old big map interfaces are still there, but the main tag or user page has a couple of maps, at least. This gives an inmediate picture of the locations displayed, where they are. And it makes more sense for a geographical website to display maps directly, instead of placing them one click further. We should have realized earlier, of course, but, well, we are careful and patient with feature and interface planning.

I like these improvements very much--they demonstrate that Tagzania is more than just a Google Maps mashup. Also, the navigation to the placemarks via the 'view' links on the list integrates the two views much better than before.
