Once you log in, you can click on the POST option or in a given map to
add and tag your own locations. But you may also use the bookmarklets.
We provided one until now, but now we have more options. Check the bookmarklet page.
The
Multimap bookmarklet is particularly useful. Google Maps or Google
Local have no postal address searching capabilities for many countries
for the moment. Multimap.com
has more addresses. Mostly European countries, but Australia and New
Zealand as well. In some countries, only town/city searches are
provided (Slovenia, for instance), but other have options to get a
direct postal address: NZ, Germany, Spain, France and others.
So,
you enter a given address into the search dialog box. And when Multimap
gives you the result, click the specific bookmarklet. There it is, you
will save that address at your Tagzania account.
Another European geocoder, the Getdirections application developed in Spain for the Google Maps API, has also its own bookmarklet now.
We have named all these bookmarklets with the term Tagzai!
Surely
there will come more in the future. User feedback will be welcomed, if
latitude and longitude can be inferred from mapping sites' URLs or HTML
codes, then the javascript code of a bookmarklet can detect that and
create a direct link to the Tagzania posting interface. Maybe in our
users' countries of origin there are specific mapping sites, or public
ortophotographic applications that can be hacked this way.
