Windows Live Local, the map application of Microsoft, has new streetplans and roadmaps for Australia and several European Countries. Many of them are actually covered by the map views Google Maps, so you can browse places in those countries and directly bookmark them at Tagzania. But a number of European countries viewable at Windows Live Local have no counterpart maps in Google. So, if you happen to know places in these countries, you may have it easier now to tag your location. It's easy, get the Tagzai! Win Local bookmarklet, and then browse thorugh the streets of, for instance:
        

• Split in Croatia (Zagreb the capital and other cities available, as well)
• Bucarest in Romania
• Sofia in Bulgaria
• Riga in Latvia (neighbouring Baltic countries, Estonia and Lithuania, also covered).
• Greece not uniformely covered, but some cities like Thessaloniki, lacking detail in Google, are well mapped at Win Live Local.
• Malta, certainly very badly mapped by Google (switch map/sat views here to see), better served by Win Live Local.
  

Once you find your spot, you need the permalink of Windows Live Local, which is in their Share menu. Click on that permalink, and then use the bookmarklet. Your find will be bookmarked at your Tagzania account.



Besides, you can compare details in map or aerial views between the Google Maps imagery of Tagzania and Windows Live Local in every individual location of this site. Below those item maps, there's a link to Windows Live Local's position over that point. In the US, there are interesting Bird's Eye views available for many places. Check from the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, for instance. Now those aerial images have expanded to Europe, beginning with some parts of England.
